How To Look For Cheap Accommodation

In this post I will share with you some tricks I found by traveling abroad. I usually spent some good time to look for best deals. It is important to look for the best opportunity. However don’t get to stress out or crazy about it… If you have enough money to spend on a very nice hotel it can also be nice!

Tricks To Look For Cheap Accommodation

Looking for the best deal can be both hard and exhaustive… nothing can be more annoying to look for a cheap and nice accommodation if you don’t have internet as well. I usually spend my time on the road without mobile or devices except when I share posts or pictures for my lovely readers!

When you get used to look for cheap travel option, you will find great opportunities to travel around the world, and you don’t have to spend so much money to do so.

I always heard that “traveling requires a lot of time and money”, I guess you need time to travel – However you can travel with very little money. You don’t need to be a financial expert to travel the world, what you just need is a little bit of courage…

The more I travel, the more I find traveling affordable.

You can always use different forms of accommodation. During my journeys I found great place to stay and different options are becoming more and more available.

Hostels

Average Price: €11 – €20 Per Night

Hostels are for me one of the best time I had when it comes to meet new people. The average hostel room has personal lockers for belongings, and often are shared between 6-8 people.

What is great about hostels?

It is cheap, it provides great social atmosphere, breakfasts are usually included, and has a good connexion with travel agencies around the city. If you need to stay for a long time and has no desire to look for a share flat or an apartment but still want a private room, you can still have in some hostels the option of having a private room.

Hostel Tips:

  • Avoid hostels that don’t provide lockers for your luggages
  • Hostelbookers & Booking.com are good sites to find a hostel

Booking.com

As a solo-traveler, it is always challenging to meet new people. That is why I always use hostels when I’m traveling. The only drawback you can find with hostels is the lack of privacy, however if you are ready to cope with it, hostels are awesome.

Apartment

Average Price: €15 – €60 Per Night

Sometimes it is nice to have your own space, if you are looking for a spare room or an apartment they are not using, you may have the option to use it.

The best interest of staying in an apartment is how you feel home in another country. When you discover new countries, interaction helps you understand and appreciate more what is actually going on in the country.

Apartment Tips:

  • Research valuable information about the apartment and discuss with landlord if needed, it will generate trust
  • Choose places very close to where you want to stay
  • AirBnB is a great site to find short-term apartment rentals
  • Use this option only if you decide to stay for a month or a bit longer

I will bring more ideas along my travels, you can check booking.com & Airbnb at the moment. I will only post tips I have done, and when I come with new hosting ideas I will share it with you my amazing readers.

Get On Board!

The interest I want to create in this article is simple. I want to make a simple idea to everyone that traveling around the world with cheap travel accommodation is possible. You don’t need to be rich to see the world, only if you are looking for expensive hotels…

A week at a hotel might cost €800, a week in a hostel might cost €80, and a week with Couchsurfing hosts will cost you €0. What are you waiting for, now?

Travel does not have to be expensive, it is only expensive if you are looking to spend luxury on it.

If you’re open to new ideas, there are plenty of cheap accommodation and you can travel for very little money. I always advise you to research where you are going to stay before going. I am usually not a good organizer but I am a great speaker, and I always like to have a good feeling about the person that will bring my next experience…
