Why should you travel ?

I always liked to write and post experience of my travels. However I always find more inspiring and motivating to read travel quotes.

I believe travel quotes are by far simple words with powerful impacts !

I decided to gather a few travel quotes that will motivate you to look for the best deal and to hop on on your next journey.

Let’s begin…

  • “The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page.” – Saint Augustine
  • “Wherever you go, go with all your heart.” – Confucius
  • “Success comes to those who dedicate everything to their passion in life. To be successful, it is also very important to be humble and never let fame or money travel to your head.” – A.R. Rahman
  • “To travel is to take a journey into yourself.” – Danny Kaye
  • “Exploration is really the essence of the human spirit.” – Frank Borman
  • “All journeys have secret destinations of which the traveler is unaware.” – Martin Buber
  • “Travel can be one of the most rewarding forms of introspection.” – Lawrence Durrell
  • “Life is short and the older you get, the more you feel it. Indeed, the shorter it is. People lose their capacity to walk, run, travel, think, and experience life. I realise how important it is to use the time i have.” – Viggo Mortensen

How To Get Cheap Flights

Travel Guide

We always hear stories of someone going to Asia or Thailand, and saying that life out there is pretty cheap. However the only thing that cost a penny is airline tickets.

Travel does require some expenses but is expensive only to those who pursue expensive tastes!

Travel can actually be cheap, but airline tickets often aren’t. Here is a list of favorite tricks I like to use on how to get cheap flights and get the best airline deals for you and your love ones.

Airfare Search Engines

The best way to get a good deal is to use an airfare meta search engine. It is both easy & functional to use. These following sites search for airline tickets across many airlines, and offer tools like price expectation, price maps based on country, fare alerts by emails, and many more…

Cheap Flight Search Engines:

  • Expedia
  • Google Flights
  • Kayak
  • Momondo
  • Adioso
  • Skyscanner

Which one is the most used ?

1. Expedia: Offer Best Filtering Options

Expedia has standard features and it does not look really appealing on the first sight.

Fortunately, Expedia’s main focus is in making it dead simple to filter important details. Moreover it saves all of your research in a scratchpad, whether you’re logged in or not.

If you are looking for a flight within the US, Expedia is probably the best deal ever!

2.Kayak: Offer Lower Prices

After researching for lower price offer, it turned out that Kayak offers best deal and ended up being the cheapest site overall when totting up the entire short-term journeys.

3.Google Flights: Offer Rapid Deals

Researching for best deals flights can be an hussle. I usually spent sometimes the entire day doing flight searches, and Google Flights is definitely the fastest one. It offers also a responsive interface and can be used on desktop and mobile.

Google Flights has a smart presentation, highlighting what the best option is, adding the option of tracking prices using email alerts.

In terms of prices, Google Flights is not the best deal and is very often ranged between third and second in my short journeys.

4. Momondo: Offer Best Multi-city Advantages

Momondo has great features on its site and offers a very friendly approach. It gives in details the cheapest, quickest and most suitable flights you can take.

Momondo is excelling on multi-city bookings, it is better and more effective on complex short-term trips (e.g. a jaunt taking in Dublin, Frankfurt and Bangkok); if you book months ahead, the difference was far less pronounced, but Momondo will still save some money to take away a sandwich at the airport.

Sign Up For Fare Alerts

Looking for multiple flight search engines is an excellent strategy as you get more used to it, you will find better deals.

On top of that, I greatly recommend you set up fare alerts for each one.

There are a few dedicated airfaire websites you should take the time to visit and sign up for. Theses sites do all the work for you to find the best deals possible.

  • AirfareWatchdog.com
  • SecretFlying.com
  • TheFlightDeal.com

Book in Off-Peak Seasons

Some of the best flight deals I had, happened during the month January & February. Round trip flights from Europe (France & Germany) to the US or Africa for under €600.

Travel Agencies expect people not to travel during those months, so you should book your tickets then.

If you decide to travel in Summer, you should definitely book your flights in January. Airlines seem to love offering good deals during January & February.

Be Flexible

Being flexible creates more opportunities!

Fly to where the deals are and create opportunities. Some websites make it easy to find the best deal (Google & Kayak).

Flying to a location can be a lot of fun, and flying to a random location can be even better. You may end up discovering new things and places you hadn’t planned on visiting.

Paris to Bangkok for only €487 on China Southern Airlines
